Beyond Science

Science and beyond
We know a lot. As a biologist, I am fascinated by nature, species and all the beaty of our world. But I'm also interested in things outside science - things we haven't yet achieved because our technology is not very advanced.
There is a dimension around us, a micro-world or micro-universe that we cannot see with our eyes, but we know is around us. Every micro-organism, every ray from earth to sky, every quantum and all the energy.
We still can't explain some of the basics, such as gravity. I mean, what attracts things? Decades ago, a particle called a graviton was named to do this job. Despite hard searching, it just hasn't been found, not even though it dominates our daily lives all the time.
We don't know if there is a force connecting humans and all living things. In my sci-fi novel, I play with the idea of the energy of life. Energy of life is a special type of energy that every living being has, a different amount, and it unites us all.
We don't know what happens after death. Whether anything special happens, or whether there is something special about us that disconnects from our dead body and continues to exist, in some way, somewhere.
